Don’t Be A Hypocrite!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to tell you…Don’t Be A Hypocrite!

Sure hope that got your attention! In the last couple of days, I have had some crucial conversations with people and thought I would share them. I chose this topic because I have so many people that continuously come to me saying, “My business isn’t growing.” I ask them, “What are you doing in your personal business?” “When is the last time you sponsored a market partner?”

“ When’s the last time that you had a VIP?”

They say, “Oh, three or four months ago.”

If you are leading a team or are in a management position always remember, you can’t expect people to do what you’re not willing to do yourself. When you teach and coach your team something and you’re not doing it, what does that make you? Exactly…It makes you a hypocrite. If you’re going to ask someone to do something, you’ve got to be the one doing it first. It’s the way that you relay to your team. It’s how you show how the business is done.

Now, I’m going to tell you that personal activity is going to solve any problem in your business. When people come to me, and they ask me, “Toni, my team isn’t growing. Toni, I can’t get to the next rank. Toni, I can’t do this, I can’t do that…,” it all goes back to personal activity! Every single time, 100% of the time, it’s because they have not focused on their own personal business. They just sit on the couch and think that business is just going to come to them… (That’s not how it works) Maybe early in your business, referrals do just come to you because it’s new! That’s awesome, but that honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever! In two years, it’s not going to look like what it did when you first started. You’ve got to get out there, and you’ve got to be putting new people in your pipeline, EVERY DAY!

Today, my business is a lot different than it was two years ago, or even three years ago! Here’s what I do; Last week on Tuesday I felt really good after having heart surgery. That Thursday, I went to a networking event. Yesterday, I went to two! Next week, I have two…I am meeting new people left and right to put them into my pipeline, and then I am scheduling events actually at my home to invite them too! It doesn’t matter if you sign them up as a distributor or customer. That relationship will be infinite and that’s how you get referrals!

I say to new prospects, “Hey, you know what? Come over to my house, have a glass of wine. You can try all the products that you want,” and I display it! Super simple and easy! KEEP IT SIMPLE! For instance, our skincare line is so simple because there are only seven products and two systems!

You have to get into the activity, and you’ve got to get in front of people. There’s always a way to meet people that will express interest. Go to networking events, invite them. Invite. Invite. Invite. Bring them a basket of your products! In my case, it would be a beauty basket! If you really want someone’s business, don’t be cheap. Send them free stuff to get them started and it doesn’t have to be expensive!

At the end of the day, your business will grow based on your personal activity! That’s why it’s called Personal Business. I don’t sponsor every month. I don’t get a VIP every month, but I am consistent! My goal is to build every month. You know what? 80% of the time, I do grow because I am putting in the work! I have reached out to hundreds of people since I started Monat. Maybe even more. II always aim to get as many NO’s as possible. That doesn’t mean I’m purposely presenting my business poorly…It means I’m sharing so much that I’m getting more No’s than a Yes. This is totally normal!

As a leader, you can’t expect it from your team if you’re not doing it too! Do the do and enjoy the ride!
