Our Monat Journey

My husband, Jay, and I have both been involved in network marketing for a long time. I have been in the business for roughly twenty years. Jay and I have been in Monat for almost five years!

In the nearly five years that we’ve been working together, we’ve always approached the business the exact same way every day. Jay always says, “One of the things I love most about what we do is that it is truly presenting an opportunity to people with network marketing.” We have a very simple approach to how everyone can be successful with this. And here’s how…

When You’re Ready to Work With Monat

Even though we have been very successful, we have never sold a bottle of shampoo in our lives. What?! “We sell a difference,” Jay explains. “We give people an opportunity to make a difference in their lives.”

We always tell people who are doing network marketing or in Monat, that one of the most important things to do is to keep working your contact list. “Toni and I have been working our contact list nonstop,” he says. They also “break out how we might want our month to look, and we have a vision board,” but they also feel that Monat products sell themselves.

But when you’re ready to join us in this journey, the first thing we want to know is what’s on your vision board? Where do you want to be in a year? “You have to map it out,” Jay explains.

Even though Jay and I have reached great heights with Monat, people think it must be easier for us because we’re at the top of the food chain. No. Honestly, we don’t do anything different than any of you do. Every day, we wake up and we do the same thing every day. We reach out to people and share the opportunity.

Why We Joined Monat

When I came aboard Monat, I was truly at the crossroads between returning to a job in the corporate world, and starting something with a new network marketing start-up. The stakes were high. We had recently filed for bankruptcy and we were behind on our house payments – foreclosure was looming. After Jay and I discussed the options, I took a chance on me and bought into a new network marketing organization.

I have always picked network marketing because I want to spend quality time with family without someone else dictating what that looks like in terms of hour, locations, and even educational structures.

Success in Network Marketing

I always say that an ideal partner in network marketing “is one who wants to get involved, and often times, that’s a woman who isn’t yet consistently sure of herself. She has good support in terms of friends and relationships and is coachable. She desires success, connects well with others, and is hungry to learn what it takes to make her dream come true. We partner with clients and lead them through a process of self-discovery to build self-confidence, appreciation, and a way to help others.
